This fire alarm technicians introduction to maintenance course and covers the application and interpretation of BS:5839 Part 1 covering in detail sections 6 and 7, clauses 44 to 48.
This Module Covers: Revision on Categories of protection, definitions, the law and risks, competent person, system operation and actions, schedules - testing equipment, checks, methods for reducing unwanted alarms, testing detectors, MCP and ancillaries and documentation. This module must be completed to continue on to the other modules and is part of the four and five day course leading to the EAL Level 3 exam.

Electricians, Designers, Installers, Commissioners, Maintainers, Electrical Supervisors, Premises Management, Fire Risk Assessors.
The course will provide a detailed understanding of how to ensure fire detection and fire alarm system is fully maintained to the requirements of BS 5839-1:2017 and the BAFE SP203 scheme. 8 hour CPD course certificate, and the second module of the four modules required before the Ofqual approved Level 3 examination can be taken.
