Our Awards
At ZZEUS Training, we are constantly striving to help our learners to be the best they can be, so the ZZEUS team also push to be the best they can be. Here are some of the awards ZZEUS have won recently.
Zzeus win 'Campaign of the Year' at Fire Safety Matters Awards 2024
This recognition follows high praise from Dame Judith Hackitt, who commended us as "Pioneers in Fire Alarm Training" after we became the first training provider to develop and offer the EAL Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Providing Electronic Fire and Security Systems.
The Building Safety Act October 2023 highlights the requirement for duty holders to ensure that they are using competent Fire Alarm Engineers. Previously, there was no appropriate qualification for mature fire alarm engineers to demonstrate competency without returning to college for three years.
However, we fought to find a more appropriate solution alongside Tom Brookes, Chairman of the FSA and MD and founder of Zzeus, Andy Reakes, Director of Growth and Development at ECS, and Robin Hamill, a lecturer from SERC Northern Ireland. In December 2023, we became the first and only provider to offer the EAL NVQ.
Brookes said: "Hearing Dame Judith speak so highly of our company was one of the proudest moments of my life, and winning this award is simply brilliant. Seeing so many engineers begin their journeys towards gold cards with us has been fantastic. We're committed to maintaining this momentum and focusing on the steady expansion of our NVQ program."
Enginuity award 2022 for the Best of British Engineering & Skills Champion
Chief Executive Officer at Enginuity, Ann Watson, said: “It was wonderful to see so many brilliant apprentices, learners and companies being awarded and celebrated.
“We have a remarkable depth of talent and enthusiasm at work throughout our sectors.
“Enginuity’s charitable mission is to help give engineers the opportunity to change their world and ours and these awards are the perfect opportunity to recognise their efforts.
“There are many reasons why Tom was named our Best of British but his extraordinary empathy and dedication to young learners set him apart.
“Through Tom’s work and commitment, we have a safer world and a stunning example of human kindness.
